Connect. Grow. Belong.

Places to Serve

Each person's unique strengths and gifts have a special place in our church family.

Volunteers play a vital part of our direction and growth. This page is updated regularly to accurately portray the volunteer needs in our church.

Immediate Needs

Medical Team
Description:
The Wooster Nazarene Medical team consists of individuals that are active in the church and have experience in the medical field.  There is currently one medical team member “on duty” every Sunday for both church services. Medical team members are scheduled one Sunday per month and they are asked to stay for both services. A team member will be “on duty” for both services for any and all medical calls on the church grounds. You will be asked to wear a portable radio with an ear piece so any safety team member can contact you via radio at any time. Medical team members are free to attend either church service and sit with their family but are expected to respond to any medical emergency at any time. Scheduling is done month by month and we always work around work and personal schedules.
Prerequisites:
Serve team application, interview and background check
Commitment:
At this time we ask that our medical team members commit to one Sunday per month and this includes both 9:15 and 11:15 services.  Our goal is to eventually have enough team members for the rotation to be once every six weeks.  Occasionally the medical team is asked to serve on special occasions and or large gatherings (ie: Night of Worship etc.)
Training:
Training will consist of a complete and thorough tour of the church, job shadowing with a current medical team member, on site medical equipment familiarization, and knowledge of radio operations and communications.

Camera Operators

Description:

Our camera operators are essential to our online experience. They are truly the eyes to hundreds of people in our online community each week.

Commitment:

Currently our cam ops (that’s short for camera operator) commit to two services at a time and how often that occurs is completely up to them. Once per month, twice, or maybe only special events.

Training:

Training will last until you feel comfortable with the position. Typically it operates as watching the entire operation from the Command Central (our video booth upstairs) during first service, then learning the controls during second service.

Training & Requirements:

Interested volunteers must complete the childcare worker form.
